Hey xxxx, how've you been? Been awhile since I've seen you and xxxx. You guys seem to be doing pretty well for yourselves, big schools and big prospects and all. They say your sister's gonna be a real pro some day when she's older. I think that's awesome for you all of guys.
It was a kind gesture presented poorly.
I still remember locking eyes with your father. I remember the stares. I remember retreating my hand into my pocket. I remember walking through that space alone after the fact. I remember November 1, 2014. I remember the five and a half years that followed. I remember when you and xxxx left and I would only see you again through sporadic updates.
I don't blame you, xxxx, your father, or anyone for what followed. That was a destination I was destined to reach, you just happened to be there when I arrived.
I think about our past encounters too much. I hope for my sake that my neurons fade and forget what you look like. Until then I wish you, xxxx, and the rest of your family the best.
