This is for AiraSora’s challenge to use other people’s masks. I joined it thinking “Aha, yes, a perfect opportunity for my lazy not-able-to-mask-because-of-my-program-please-pity-me self.” And I thought it would be easier than making a crossover myself with all my cookie cutting/chroma keying witchcraft madness.
Somehow, I was very wrong.
I see the challenge in this; it was hard to find anything. I had all these editors’ masks just sitting in a file and I kept listening to the song thinking of certain scenes that just weren’t there?? I’m sure if I’d looked harder or broadened my search to more editors’ masks I could have found what I was looking for but…that’s the point, I guess. I’d have had to search and search and download and download until I had that one scene I craved. And y’all know I don’t got time for that, so I just made it work with what I had.
Well….I sort of made it work. Despite the fact that I took the whole “masking” problem out of the equation, I still suck at making scenes match each other or be cohesive. The canon editor in me never stops. I can’t make a storyline-centric video because I just can’t edit without trying to match what the song is saying. So the scenes don’t naturally flow into each other with similar backgrounds or feelings; the editing just sort of happens based on what the song is doing. WHICH IS WEIRD AND NOT WHAT CROSSOVER EDITING IS ABOUT. I totes get that. I do.
I’m just not on that level. :’)
Also I just feel really guilty using other people’s masks because you guys did all the work so. Please just go watch these editors’ videos and subscribe to them; let me wallow in my weakness.")

Hey, everyone! I posted a poll the other day asking which Endgame project you guys wanted me to concentrate on, and this won by far. So here it is! The stony video to “Ships in the Night.”
Let me preface this by saying I found this other stony video from five years ago to this song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CLoz9pvhQc).
Because that video was good, I tried my best to avoid using the original Avengers movie as much as possible. I think I overlap with this video once or twice (“violent fifth grade” really couldn’t have gone any other way, let’s be honest), but overall, since I had so much more material to work with, I tried to stick to more recent footage out of respect for this video. 😊
