{ hd makes things pretty }
Three years ago I had a dream of taking an overweight paint horse, bred to be a roper, and turning her into a jumper.
Three years later, I'm back at the same barn where our journey began. Riding the son of one of her old herd mates.
It's just... so strange. Everything that I'm doing with Mack are things I was supposed to end up doing with Cheyenne. It was always supposed to be me and her. I don't know if Mack is my second chance to relive all my dreams that I had 3 years ago, but it kind of feels like a punch in the gut. I get to ride him in english tack. I get to ride him over poles. I get to make him into the horse I always knew Cheyenne could be. Only, it's not her, and never will be.
This song really hit home, and this video is kind of bittersweet for me. Being back at Cheyenne's old barn is kind of like saying hello to my old heart, hence the song. Going back to all the memories and feelings I had when I was fourteen, but this time I'm grown and changed and everything is different. I'm learning to let go of the past and focus on what's ahead, on the horse I have now while reminiscing about the horse I used to have.
Nothing lasts forever and some things truly just aren't meant to be. And I know that to grow even more I need to someday let my old heart go, because I still feel it there. It's painful, but it'll be worth it in the end.
I don't know, this probably makes no sense. But that's why this video is about Mack and Cheyenne. I'll always be tied to them and this place.

WEIRDLY Bridget and I have only collaborated once like 2 years ago SO I suggested we do another!! And since we are both emotionally compromised by the same artists, we did not debate long on choosing a song.
I love Bridget and her editing more than ANYTHING so please LOVE HER IMMEDIATELY THANK YOU
