A quick mapping showcase of my Arc/Storm Burst Decay Occultist from Episode #3 (youtube.com/watch?v=JkxpbzelT-M).
Clears endgame maps without much trouble. Arc just needs to hit each enemy once to apply decay and everything dies. Vaal Arc is amazing for clearing dense areas like Legions. For single target, just tap Storm Burst and watch enemies melt.

This was my first ever uber elder kill, and I did it using a self-made ignite build no less! Almost deathless, died once to some BS timing of Elder slow + Shaper beam.
Synthesis league introduced some great buffs to ignite builds in the form of Malevolence aura (~20% more damage over time) and Malevolence auras watchers eye jewel (Ignites burn ~15% faster), as well as new faster ignite implicits on weapons (ignites burn ~35% faster for staves). This allows you to achieve ignites of upwards of 500k DoT with a fully converted Wave of Conviction. Wave also has the added benefit of applying the new Fire Exposure debuff (-25% fire resistance) on every hit, and is an amazingly smooth clearing skill, since one cast will hit the entire screen and then proliferate ignites more from there!
Chieftain ascendancy grants us 50% phys to fire conversion so that our wave is fully elemental damage, as well as an additional 70% phys as extra fire for 3 out of every 10 seconds. This helps us get off some beefy ignites. I use stormfire ring so that the innate 25% phys to lightning conversion built into wave of conviction will also apply towards our ignite. Storm brand is used to apply Elemental Overload, Elemental Equilibrium, covered in ash (from chieftain ascendancy), and culling strike.
