as many others have pointed out, i as well thought of "that's not my name" by the ting tings when i first heard illit's new song. and that lead me to wanting to make a mashup, after i figured out the chorus i also thought the song had a few f(x) qualities which made me add the part that features f(x)'s "diamond" and later "pretty girl". as others have also pointed out the lyrics are indirectly hinting at the plagiarism accusations the group has received and so that lead me to wanting to mix in newjeans and aespa into the song and make the meaning much more explicit. i have to give a warning that this is not hate to any of the groups i chose to feature in the song, i just thought it was a fun idea! and i hope you all enjoy it nonetheless! the idea was sort of hinting at min heejin with the f(x) feature, the plagiarism accusations by featuring a newjeans sample and the aespa at the end because of hybe's one sided beef with them lol.
