Gulveer Singh clinched the bronze medal in the men's 5,000m, clocking 13:24.95s in a thrilling race and producing a sensational sprint over the final 50 metres.

Earlier in the Games, he had won silver in the men's 10,000m, making it a remarkable campaign.

With his two podium finishes, Gulveer has become the first Indian athlete in athletics history to win two medals at the same edition of the Commonwealth Games.
