but anyways, basically Hope is with Vanille but after spending time with Lightning her starts to fall in love with her. He tries to hide his feelings but when Lightning confesses he becomes confused. He also finds himself feeling less and less for Vanille.
Vanille is aware of his feelings for lightning and tries to pretend like it was all a lie.
As time goes on Lightning becomes tired of waiting for hope to decide. She decides she needs to focus more on her job, a member of the rebel group "nora".
In the hope made his choice.
he wanted to be with lightning. Just as hope runs off after breaking with Vanille she finds herself not caring. she then realizes she was never "in love" with hope.
