Gianandrea Noseda leads the CSO in Prokofiev’s Fourth Symphony — a dark, searching work with themes drawn from his ballet, The Prodigal Son — on December 11–13. The ensemble sets the stage with Debussy’s dreamy Prelude to The Afternoon of a Faun followed by a performance of Britten’s demanding Violin Concerto with soloist James Ehnes.
