On Sept. 15, Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero visited Norwalk High School in Los Angeles County to recognize their outstanding achievement in receiving the Civic Learning Award of Excellence.
The Civic Learning Award is co-sponsored by the Chief Justice of California and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The award recognizes schools that meaningfully incorporate civic learning into schoolwide practices, including classroom instruction, student-led projects, service learning, and opportunities to take informed action.
