The view from space provides a powerful new angle to the recent sightings of the Northern Lights.

Astronaut Matthew Dominick shared this time-lapse view from the Dragon Endeavour's window on social media.

He captured the images while on the spacecraft while docked with the International Space Station.

A severe geomagnetic storm has made for some especially spectacular light displays recently.
