On Sept 1st, I was camping out on the French River in Ontario, Canada.
The view on the campsite was East-facing, meaning I wouldn't get any sunset footage. But that wasn't going to stop me from attempting a timelapse sequence anyway.
I put my fancy new 20mm/1.8 S on my trusty Z6 and set up for a 1-2 hour sequence. (That video can be seen here: youtu.be/0pxvP9rD60g )
But I also wanted to create a longer timelapse sequence than that, one that went all night long.
I set up my Insta360 4X a bit further down from my main camera, hooked it up to an external USB power brick, and let it go all night. The battery crapped out shortly before sunrise. In the 360 video editing, I zoomed all the way out, creating this tiny planet effect. Nifty !
Background audio was captured from a previous night out camping, but the crickets weren't all that different sounding the night this was captured, so I figured I could get away with it. Additional sounds created in FL Studio.
