North Yorkshires Best Coastal Walk, Whitby Abbey to Robin Hoods Bay has to be in my top two favorite coastal walks. The walk starts at Whitby Abbey and follows the 6.5 mile coast path towards Robin Hoods Bay, offering stunning scenery, on a clear, well maintained path. Once at Robing Hoods Bay, you have the choice of the bus back into Whitby, or, you can walk back along the 'Cinder Path, which is the old railway line to get back to Whitby that way. I was greeted on the coastal path by an array for wild flowers, which together with the glorious sunny weather, made a great walk even better.
