NASCAR is coming to North Wilkesboro Speedway for the first points race at the historic track since 1996, the year Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt battled it out with Gordon prevailing for the win.

Today, the speedway hosted a media luncheon in its new 47 Reserve hospitality space with NASCAR Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski, Craftsman Truck Series Driver Ben Rhodes and track Executive Director Graig Hoffman.

47 Reserve is built in the old barn that sits just outside turn 4 behind the turn 4 suites. It’s decorated to feel old-school, with wood walls, dark ceilings and photos along the walls featuring scenes from the first race activity at the track in 1947.

The space will be hospitality during race weekends and is already sold out for the upcoming race weekend. It will be available as a rentable event center for the rest of the year.

With retired radio broadcaster Doug Rice moderating, Keselowski, Rhodes and Hoffman chatted about the upcoming race, the cool features of 47 Reserve, and the excitement of having a NASCAR Cup Series points race back at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
