18hrs after firefighters battled a large fire that ripped through the roof of a derelict building in North Shields, Fish Quay the building still smouldered and fire crews continued to monitor the situation with an aerial ladder.

Fire crews were called to Brewhouse Bank at around 4pm on Friday, with eight appliances and an aerial ladder in attendance during the height of the blaze.
