In June 2024, the Albert H. Small Normandy Institute at George Washington University took high school students on a field research trip to the National Archives at College Park, Maryland. The Institute guided high school student-teacher teams through an intensive program to learn about the D-Day Campaign of 1944. The National Archives provided participants with an overview of its records related to D-Day and Normandy in World War II, provided document displays and presentations, and shared research tips with the students .
