Norman's brother does mining work at a limestone mine in Tennessee, and he needed a custom tap made out of steel. The tap will be used to clean out plugs that are changed on a regular basis. Norman had some bars of A6 tool steel that he had laying around. It's not ideal in a mine because of the humidity, but he's planning on sandblasting the part and then heat treating it at Sector 67, Madison's local makerspace. sandblasting and then protecting the finish with his Caswell Black Oxide kit.
