Local entrepreneur and philanthropist E. Philip Saunders joins WXXI President Norm Silverstein.
Founder of several notable businesses including Genesee Regional Bank, Truck Stops of America, Griffith Energy, Travel Centers of America and Sugar Creek Corporation, Mr. Saunders comes from a long lineage of entrepreneurs. His great grand-father, grandfather, and father all worked for themselves. Mr Saunders shares the deep roots he has in Livingston County, how his family and farming taught him the value of hard work, and how he translated that into his business philosophy.
Mr. Saunders also talks about his philanthropic work and the commitment he has to Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Rochester, URMC, and the Boys & Girls Club. In addition he shares his thoughts on what's in store for the next generation of entrepenuers.
