Norfolk police responded to a home in the 5300 block of Bellefield Road around 10:11 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. After police conducted a preliminary investigation, they found that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
