Noreonna Echols, one of the two robbery suspects who fled from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) near the campus of Case Western Reserve University last year, has learned her fate.

During a sentencing hearing Monday morning, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Antonio Nicholson sentenced Echols to a total of four years in prison. The sentence was part of a plea agreement reached in the case.

Nicholson told Echols that she could have faced a significantly longer prison sentence if it wasn't for the agreement. Earlier this month, Echols' co-defendant, Leon Terrell, was also sentenced to prison following a guilty plea.

Prior to being sentenced, Echols apologized to the victims and explained her actions during the incident.
