The last song for my Nordic/Viking album which will be released very soon now. =) The title is in Icelandic and means "from the north". I was actually very inspired by the artwork while I composed this song and it turned the theme into a kind of journey through the frozen wilderness, something that my imagination often seems to go to. I don't know why, but I am drawn to the topic of lone wanderings, especially in snow and ice. I always loved the imagery of it, there is a very special emotion that comes with it for me, like a search for one's true self in a state of solitude. Maybe it's an expression of the desire for a deep meaning to life, in a world that is increasingly shallow and disconnected from ancient wisdom. Those are just random personal thoughts though, things that enter my mind while I make this type of music. I'd actually be very interested to hear where your mind goes when you listen to this song, I'm always fascinated to read about this.^^
