Watch as Sebastián discusses how the RISC-V coprocessor works in our nRF54L Series devices and what it can be used for.

The RISC‑V coprocessor opens up a whole new world of possibilities for the nRF54L series. Acting as a standalone system within the SoC, it can take over time‑critical tasks enabling developers to integrate operations performed by other ICs or MCUs of the same PCB. The result is a simpler, more robust design with a reduced BOM — all without major architectural changes.

The coprocessor can also run predefined software‑based peripherals that aren’t included in the current nRF54L lineup, expanding the SoC’s capabilities and enabling new applications at no extra hardware cost.
