The Sacred | Nonviolent Revolution: Satish Kumar Recalls Vinoba Bhave's Journey to Secure Land for the Poor @thesacredpodcast | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
This is a clip from Elizabeth Oldfield's conversation with Satish Kumar, live at The Realisation Festival.

Satish Kumar is a peace activist and formerly Jain monk who has spent his life promoting sustainability, spirituality and nonviolence to audiences and communities across the globe. He is also the Editor Emeritus of the Resurgence & Ecologist Magazine.

Satish spoke about his upbringing and the experience of becoming a Jain monk aged 9, the influence of Mahatma Gandhi on his life and outlook and how he deals with those who approach his beliefs and practices with cynicism.

Many thanks to the team at The Realisation Festival for organising and recording this event. You can find out more about them and their work here: realisationfestival.com
