Presented by the Minnesota DNR’s Nongame Wildlife Program, this wildlife camera follows a pair of peregrine falcons during their breeding season as they nest in downtown Saint Paul. Historically, peregrine falcons nest on cliff ledges, but they’ve adapted over time to also nest on human-built structures like skyscrapers, as is the case of this pair.
The opportunity to view nesting peregrine falcons in Minnesota is emblematic of their conservation success. Donations to the Nongame Wildlife Program helped restore Minnesota’s peregrine falcon population, allowing us to provide the public an educational viewing opportunity today! Hundreds of rare and vulnerable wildlife species still need support. Together we can help them thrive at mndnr.gov/donate.
