Production:
Part of my Nomansland-Erea Story Universe, me and a school friend played Minecraft multiplayer for the first time in 2010, when I started getting into geography and nation building. We made this world starting out in one home to survive (creative didn't exist yet), and eventually migrated out to form our nations to one day fight each other in combat. This was the real purpose of the world: war.
The premise was his nation formed from a volcano naturally in the north pacific and founded by Argentine mercenaries. My nation, Nomansland, was man made, kind of like Rapture except on the surface, supported by concrete and metal. Nomansland was inspired by the UAE's man-made palm islands and Bioshock's Rapture.
We both had shitty computers and ran Minecraft 10-20 fps and played for hours, sometimes with friends. Time and time went by, and both of us still weren't ready yet. By the time we hit High school, my friend started to lose interest in playing this "boring" building simulator. Minecraft was definitely a combat type game, but while he didn't play on my server, I pressed on, mostly with the help of friends and family.
The dream, sadly never came true. But the whole story does make a good universe to write about later on.
Lore:
Thread Optimum or THROP is the previous port capital of Nomansland. Here in this video, we will look at the border/shores of Nomansland, the edge of its Immigrant District, and the historical site of the Erean-Noman Border War (Circa 2040s).
Despite Erea being a whole oceans away from Nomansland in the North Pacific, there were incursions between the two when it came to tiny islands and sea trade. Nomansland has one aircraft carrier donated by the United States (its former master investor) while Erea lacked one.
Trench Warfare, Wrecked armored vehicles, blood, sniper trees, and bomb craters fill the battlefield. The war ended when Erea renounced its claims of the island so close to Noman territory. The map in this game is not fit to scale.
Music:
Civilization 6
Gathering the Storm
Canada Theme- Atomic
