Kuzus Birds | Noisy Metal Cage: What to do? How to make ANTI-NOISE System for a Bird's Cage (by Kuzu's Birds) @KuzuBirds | Uploaded March 2024 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
As I said: that's a lot of work. But it is absolutely helpful. If you want more light in your bird's cage, you can do the same, but wrapping each bar separately, one by one. I wrapped every two because I'm lazy.

PURPOSES:
1. Makes cages less noisy
2. Protects the bird's beak from cracks or splits (if biting a cage)
3. Prevents the metal from heating up in the sun

My bird (Terry) was biting her cage to get out of it. I close her for nights to prevent issues (sometimes birds have nightmares too!) or I close her when I have to leave. While she's biting the cage, her beak becomes cracked, and the sound of metal cage bars bumping in echoes is pretty annoying... I had to make this solution a long time ago...
