noelle holiday is a character from deltarune. she is one of kris's classmates, as well as their neighbor and childhood friend. she plays a minor role in chapter 1, but becomes a major character in chapter 2, where she temporarily joins the party during cyber city. noelle is friendly and cheerful, but also very timid, and sometimes has trouble saying what she's thinking. she apologizes often, and stays quiet about her feelings, such as her possible crushes, out of fear. after class, noelle startles kris and susie by walking up to them just as they are preparing to enter the dark world to invite them to study at the library with her and berdly. susie awkwardly accepts. however, when kris and susie arrive at the library, it becomes apparent that noelle and berdly have fallen into a new dark world in the computer lab. in one route, kris, controlled by the player, uses their time with noelle to help her become "stronger" through killing enemies with her iceshock spell. noelle is then coaxed into stealing the freeze ring from a shopkeeper, causing her to become more ambivalent towards killing enemies, subsequently becoming brainwashed into thinking kris is making her stronger. eventually, kris and noelle encounter berdly, whom noelle initially does not recognize. berdly engages in a battle and the player forces noelle to use snowgrave, a spell she does not know. this causes berdly to die inside a massive ice crystal. after this, noelle leaves the party in a depressed daze, and is not seen again until kris seals the dark fountain. the party wakes up in the computer lab. berdly does not wake up.
sayori is one of the five main characters of doki doki literature club!, one of the five members and the vice president of the literature club, and the protagonist's childhood friend. sayori is initially portrayed as the character archetype of a genki girl, expressing a bubbly and cheery disposition. she is very clumsy, noted for finding ways to accidentally hurt herself or to drop random things. regardless, she is shown to be a jokingly cunning individual who can trick others to get food, shown after managing to eat natsuki's cookie without her permission. the protagonist seems to view her as an airhead and slightly annoying at the beginning of the game, but he starts to sympathize with her after she confesses about her depression. the protagonist notes how there hasn't been much change in her, and the changes the protagonist notices in her later are due to monika's interference, amplifying her depression and suicidal tendencies. the protagonist finds a a poem written by sayori named with the words "get out of my head" repeated constantly. this will cause the protagonist to panic and go to sayori's house, where she will be found dead, hanging from a noose with blood on her hands. if the player tries to load their save after her death, the game states that the save files are corrupt and completely reboots, as if sayori never existed.
