Nobody Wants America to Reindustrialize
When China industrialized 30 years ago, the whole world supported it.
We wanted cheap iPhones and laptops — and China took on the mining and refining we didn’t want to do.
Now the U.S. wants to reindustrialize, but they’re doing it into a headwind.
The world prefers predictability, not higher costs and supply-chain chaos.
And the shift is already here:
China stopped buying BHP’s iron ore in U.S. dollars — not the ore, just the dollars.
Now BHP accepts 30% renminbi and holds a growing RMB treasury.
Every deal done outside the dollar shows the world there are options.
And once countries realize they have options, they start using them.
