Nobody tells you just how much you’ll be doing when you bring home a newborn.
Feeding.
Soothing.
Contact napping.
Trying to figure out why they’re crying.
Wondering if that noise is normal.
Second-guessing everything.
And somehow functioning on almost no sleep.
And then you look at your tiny human and think, “I love you more than anything… but I would also like to run away.” 😂
If that’s you, please know this:
You are not failing. You are not doing it wrong. And you are not supposed to figure it all out alone.
Ask for help. Let someone bring you dinner. Take the nap. Call your pediatrician when you’re unsure. Reach out to someone who understands newborn sleep and development.
Support doesn’t mean you can’t handle motherhood.
It means you don’t have to carry all of it by yourself. 🤍
