Dead by Daylight's newest killer, The Judgment, is generating a lot of discussion right now, but I think everyone is focused on the wrong part of the kit.
Most creators are talking about chase potential, aim requirements, controller viability, and whether the power is consistent in a 1v1. While those are all important conversations, I believe The Judgment's biggest issue has nothing to do with chase at all.
In this video I break down a potentially unhealthy strategy that revolves around generator denial, macro pressure, and preventing survivors from interacting with the objective itself. By combining The Judgment's low cooldown power with information perks such as Surveillance, Discordance, Gearhead, Oppression, and Hex: Hive Mind, it's possible to generate incredible pressure across the entire map without ever needing to commit to traditional chases.
The concern isn't that The Judgment is overpowered.
The concern is that the most effective way to play them may also be the least interactive thing ever added to the game.
Could this become another Skull Merchant situation? Is the community overlooking a serious design problem? Are the creator program creators too afraid to bring it up? Or am I just completely wrong and missing important counterplay?
