In September 2013, unprecedented flooding swept across the State of Colorado, damaging some 4,500 square miles, washing out hundreds of miles of roads and leaving many small mountain towns completely devastated. During and after the 2013 flooding, Noble Energy responded with supplies and donations to support the community.
We assisted through a variety of means, such as processing 54,000 of pounds of groceries for distribution, organizing and distributing food to children in School District 6 and their families, serving meals at Red Cross Shelters in Greeley and Evans, purchasing and delivering emergency relief supplies, and collecting clothing and toys for the children of local families. We also partnered with a contractor to supply, assemble and maintain 200 portable toilets to assist the City of Evans with their no-flush rule, and dedicated equipment and personnel to oversee debris removal.
