EMILIE MCDONALD is an actor and filmmaker responsible for the short features "Other People's Houses," "Crossing the River," and "Muck."

No Talking During the Movie is a series of interviews with members of the pop culture community, where my subjects discuss a favorite film of theirs. The idea came from Kevin Maher and Richard Harlan Smith, who posited that we don't tend to discuss movie plots with each other in the information age. I found that when a friend used to describe a plot of a movie, their telling often exceeded the enjoyment of actually watching the movie myself.
