Today On Categorical Imperatives we are looking at the second part in what what is quickly becoming a 4 part video series on the influence of The Roman Republic and the philosophy of Classical Republicanism on America's Founding.
In Part 1 we looked at the way this influence manifested in the Founders individually
Today we look at the Enlightenment era rediscovery and reinterpretation of the Ancient Roman Republic and the resulting political philosophy of classical republicanism and we examine the way it influenced different groups of people during the founding and especially those who wrote and ratified the US Constitution and what influence the Roman Republic had on our very system of government embodied in the Constitution
