For what will hopefully be the last time for a long time, the motor has to come out of the 1965 Nova Wagon. The short of it, this motor has an oil leak at the back which I suspect to be either the rear main or if I'm lucky the pan seal. So before we start locking things down the motor comes out one last time to see if I can fix the oil leak.
The downside to the Mustang II style front end is that you can't pull the pan with the motor in the car and in these cars it would be really hard to just lift the motor up and slip the pan out from underneath. Maybe doable if you really try, but let's be honest, since nothing was locked down yet on this car it was far easier to just yank the motor and trans out to reseal the bottom end, so that's exactly what I did.
While at it, a few more of the essentials get bolted up as we install the motor back in the car to stay so that we can really start putting this car together with hopes of being able to drive it soon . . .
