This week Plant Lovers, a no ID 'Oncidium' I bought from my favourite nursery on sale because the flower spike was dead...has bloomed! And what a sensational flower it is too! Huge and a deep purple/magenta, no fragrance...but who cares with such a stunning flower! It's most probably a Beallara ( now known as Aliceara) type of complex hybrid and if anyone has the name I'd be grateful! I can't find anything that looks quite the same - Marfitch ‘Howards Dream’ has more spots! So in this video we'll talk basic care for this very easy type of orchid to grow indoors or out, and how to go about trying to identify an orchid without a label!
