e is often called "Euler's number" and some people even learn that e stands for "Euler's number". While the name "Euler's number" is fair, though risking some confusion with "Euler's constant", today we'll take a look at some history of notation for e, and learn that in fact e does NOT stands for Euler's number. If anything it probably stands for 'exponential' but whose to say. And at the end of the day, if it's your writing - you get to decide what it means and what it stands for! #maths #mathhistory
