This little experiment shows how floors (represented by circular lifting weights) can undergo progressive collapse. The floors are connected to the central core (wood pole) by toothpicks. This structure is completely destroyed when just one floor is dropped onto the floors below. See nmsr.org/nmsr911.htm for more info.
