(But they're real co-drivers voice!) Recently I learned how to mod Unreal games, and started making a new Co-Driver mod for EA WRC, using my old RBR Co-Driver mods.lezarbr.blogspot.com/2021/09/rbr-co-driver-mods-all-track-pacenotes.htmlThe game is unreasonably overloaded with note voices.For example, there are files with 5 notes: 6 Right / 6 Right overcrest / 6 Right overjump / 6 Right sharp / 6 Right short, and into/and/early/late/sudden notes are attached to those voice files.into 6R / into 6R oc ........into early 6R .........into late 6R .........into sudden 6R ........and 6R / and 6R oc ........and early 6R / and early 6R oc ..........This is how the file types increase tremendously, so I spent about 40 hours for 'assembled' about 4000 voice files. This was a whole other level of difficulty than making a Co-Driver mod for RBR.Anyway first, I will reveal the mod of my favorite Co-Driver, Paul Nagle. *INFORMATION*There are many 'Caution' note voices in this game (Care, Brake, Slowin, Caution, Double Caution, Triple Caution) and some of them are left as dummy files(stop, minus, plus, minusminus, plusplus, etc.. why don't use it?.)At first test, I match Paul Nagle's notes exactly to EA WRC. Care = CareBrake = Stop BrakingSlowin = Big SlowinCaution = Stop (It didn't work for my ears and flatout! CRASH!😂)Double Caution = Big StopTriple Caution = Must StopHowever, EA WRC uses Slowin notes overwhelmingly, and I got sick of hearing only Big! Slowin, Big! Slowin, Big! Slowin, Big! Slowin... hundreds of times.So.. final decisions are as follows:Care = CareBrake = Don't PushCaution = Care LineSlowin, Double Caution = Stop Braking, Big Slowin, Big Stop, Must Stop (Random play)Triple Caution = Danger Slowin'CAUTION' note seems to be more about being careful with the 'racing line', not the 'slow and dangerous' for almost corners. So I replaced the CAUTION notes with Paul Nagle's 'Care Line' notes.*About the 'Left/Right tightens~ note*This is replacing some of the 'Late' notes. I did not replace those (into late 2 right / and late 2 right ........... ) 'and' 'into' series voices, because they are used in consecutive corners, and I only applied them to the 88 voices files that start with 'LATE'. This is used very accurately in almost corners except some corners, and you can see it in this video.*I applied the OK (Be Brave) note in a similar way, and it also works well in almost corners.*When a tire punctures, Paul cries out for Jesus. In fact, it was replaced due to a lack of voice sources, but I think it is very appropriate. 😁*These researches and attempts are bring out the variety of Kris Meeke/Paul Nagle's pacenote style, and it will provide great immersion.*I am also considering making other Co-Driver mods.First up is Robert Reid (Richard Burns). I really like Robert Reid's co-driving, and he has a relatively simple note system (by Richard) compared to the current generation drivers, so I think it will not be as much work as Paul Nagle Mod.Next up is Paul Coleman, Co-Driver of DiRT Rally 1. There are a lot of unused dummy voices in DiRT Rally, and I think a lot of them could be adapted to EA WRC. As a result, you always have to rely on visually checking the roadbook on the right side of the screen.For that reason, playing with No HUD isn’t very effective for enjoying this game, and I usually keep the HUD on. However, for immersion’s sake, I tried playing with No HUD in this video. It led to plenty of mistakes along the way, but I still think it was a fun attempt.

Leza 레자 2025-08-25 | This is a co-driver mod of Canadian motorsports journalist Jen Horsey, who served the co-driver for DiRT 3 and DiRT 4.I'm not a fan of female co-drivers, but the main reason I didn't use them in EA WRC was the recording quality was tooooo much mechanical. It reminded me of the recording style popular in rally games in the 2000~2010 eras. Perhaps for this reason I've been asked many times from guys if I plan on making a female co-driver mod.My motivation and passion for rally game modding have waned recently, so I've left this mod after just doing some groundwork three months ago. Resuming work on this mod has been incredibly (mentally) difficult, but I'm happy to completed it today.

So I bought this wheel with confident I could repair it and won the bid for about $130 including shipping from the US to Korea at Ebay. Then I got the wheel yesterday, a month later.

(The mod file is 470MB in size!!)Basically I try to without using AI as much as possible, and when I couldn't, I used the 2004 Phil voice overdubbed with AI over the Phil voice from DiRT Rally 2.0.------------------------------------------------------------------The Pacenote system also reproduces the Solberg/Mills notes from 2004. Since DiRT Rally voice mixing was different for each location and condition, making EQ adjustments very difficult. Furthermore - In the final testing of the first version, which I had worked about 30 hours in... I realized too late that there were huge problems with in-game sound output, I ended up deleting all the sources. (It's impossible to edit all of 15000 voice files.. I was screwed up this from the start.)I was sooooo stressed out that I thought about quitting dozens of times, but I couldn't give up because he is my favorite co-driver. In the end, I started over from the scratch.I'm so happy to finally be able to complete and release this mod.*NOTE*As you know, there are no 'Short' notes in DiRT Rally 1. So I applied 'L/R Five Be Brave' to theFive_right_short note set, (not to 'into Five~, into early five~ into sudden five~ etc) and it works amazingly perfect working for most stages. (I absolutely love *Be Brave* notes. 😍) I also considered to apply on 'L/R Four short' , but many Four Short notes are follwing to dangerous section so I didn't do it.*Flat-out Jump is partially applied to the Big Jump note set**Big Jump - No change cause this note is often followed by a very slow corners.*'Left / Right over Big Jump' is changed to Keep Left / Right over Flat-out Big Jump (BE BRAVE!)*There is no 'Slight' note on the DiRT Rally*So I used some unused dummy files from DR to make notes corresponding to Slight L/R. :" 'L/R Flat' 'L/R Seven' You can choose which one you like. I recommend the 'Seven' version more, as the assembled voice sounds more natural.*About the 'Line' note*I use this to mean 'there is a corner or something that can confuse the eye / 'two corners are continuously connected'. Be careful of the racing line'. So this mod replaces many notes that were not used in DR1, such as Neat, Twist, Hold, etc. with 'Line'.*In order to maximize the naturalness of voice connection, I divided the DR1 original voices into for single use and for connection, and then assembled the voices and reviewed them carefully. As you know, he is famous as the co-driver of Juha Kankkunen and Colin McRae. This version is based on his voice that appeared in the DiRT 4 released in 2017.(I can't believe it's been 8 years already!) I used the original source as much as possible, and successfully replaced all of the EA WRC voices (Rally School, Regularity Rally, and obstacle notes missing from DiRT4) with Nicky Grist's voice through RVC AI.I also adjusted the EQ on all voices for harmonious sound output. As a result, this became my biggest project and I edited around 5000 files.I played Regularity Rally for the first time working on this mod. So naturally I also really like Robert Reid's co-driving.Burns/Reid used Descriptive notes instead of Numeric notes. This is a very 'old school style' Pacenote that modern drivers almost do not use. To be honest, this mod was almost finished about 1 weeks ago. And I've been spent about 30 hours on my own exclusive period + testing.
