The heatwave on the Korean Peninsula has made the North's food and medicine situation even worse. The heatwave started in mid-July and the mercury has reached close to 40 degrees Celsius in certain parts of the country. The North's Red Cross organization said... the heat has significantly hurt agricultural production and many elderly people and children are suffering from heatstroke.
