Here’s my early look at Nitro Gen Omega, a turn-based RPG that just dropped in early access. I’ve been testing it out on the Steam Deck, and while performance does dip below 30 FPS at times, the game is in very early development — so I’m giving it some grace.
That said, I really like the art direction, battle system, and the overall concept. If the devs can keep updating it and polishing things up, this could turn into a great little RPG down the line.
In this video I break down how it currently runs on Steam Deck, what works, what still needs work, and whether it’s worth watching as it continues to develop.
