The CRKD Nitro Deck 2 is finally here for the Nintendo Switch 2! After extensively testing this $100 deck-style controller over the past few weeks, I’m ready to share my full review.

On paper, the Nitro Deck 2 has a lot going for it, including adjustable capacitive thumbsticks, 9-axis gyro controls, six programmable buttons, a built-in kickstand, wired and wireless connectivity, and support for PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
And there are definitely things I really like about it. The build quality is excellent, the ergonomics are super comfortable, and the sticks and controls generally feel great.
But unfortunately, the longer I used the Nitro Deck 2, the more issues I started to notice. From the frustrating function buttons and lack of HD Rumble and native Switch 2 communication to the CRKD app and cumbersome installation process, the overall experience just isn’t what I expected from a $100 controller.
And when you compare it to much cheaper deck-style controllers like the abxylute N6, the Nitro Deck 2 becomes even harder to recommend.
