Thank you for watching my Teardown Video of this Nissan Leaf Cell! I was very curious what was the hype with these "Pouch Cells". I can assure you that what I found inside looks nothing like what the picture in my head looked like. It was quite surprising how much these cells bulged as I discharged them outside of their range.

Nissan Leaf Gen 1 Battery Modules are perfect for DIY Powerwalls & DIY lead-acid to lithium conversions for your RV, Golf Cart, off-Grid Power Room, and much more because weight is less of a concern. I was quite impressed how much abuse I could give these cells during the teardown process, including bending the pouches and cutting the casing apart.
If you want to check out the Big Battery Website, which provided me this cell for teardown for your enjoyment, here's the link:

You can actually get this kit pre-assembled 48v kits, ready to go for your install!

In this video, I go over part of the issue I had with my RV - The air conditioner in my RV was being fed too low of a voltage due to the poor hookup. As a result, the evaporator was icing up due to the low speed of the indoor blower motor causing improper airflow.
The video was recorded in Northern Idaho, so moisture in the air is not a concern. If this were located in a more humid climate, the issue could have been far worse.
