A big monster yokai boss. He is very slow and if you stay out of his range he can't do much. At the start of the fight use your Ibaraki Doji summoning seal and follow up with a barrage of melee attacks and your other summoning seal to quickly drain his Ki. Then get behind him and keep doing combos, throw shuriken between combos to let Ki recharge. You will tear through his health super fast. When he transforms, you can either wait out this phase until he turns back to normal, or use another Ibaraki Doji right now to drain his Ki and keep him stunlocked.

Like the previous bosses, the key to a swift victory is equipping the "Summoning Basics" skill (from Onmyo Veteran mission in Eternal Rift) to double your summoning seal uses. Ibaraki Doji pretty much depletes any boss's Ki and you can keep them stunlocked with critical attacks from behind. Then keep using your other summoning seals and Ninjutsu. This boss also takes heavy damage from Shrapnel bombs.

$Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - Cannon Fodder Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy - Cannon Fodder Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Lure a Brute into killing 1 soldier while in a rage [Bronze] Brutes are the bigger human enemies that wield a wooden club/mace and do red glowing attacks. You will frequently encounter them throughout the game. They are always accompanied by regular human enemies. Attack a normal human until he only has 1 health segment left, then have the Brute do a series of red glowing attacks and it must hit and kill the other enemy. It’s a bit random because the enemies must stand very close together. “Rage” is when the brute does multiple red attacks in a row. A good spot is in Chapter V – Desolation it wrought, Sub-Chapter 2 – Battle grounds. Defeat the first group of enemies, then take the left path (pull down the wooden scaffolding), then go through the house to find an abandoned campsite. Climb up the cliffs on the left and loot the small chest that rewards a charm. Then a brute and other enemies appear. Lure them into the doorway in the house, it’s a tight space and the brute is more likely to hit another enemy there. Another spot is Chapter VII – Death it sowed – Sub-Chapter 2 – The whole damn army, after going through an underground section you will fight a brute and other enemies before using a zipline.
