Nioh 3 Dung Ball Roller Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Helped Tatsumaro the Dung Lover connect with Takechiyo.
Step 1: Finish the Myth "Putrid Paradise" in Heian - Hachijo. It will be marked on the map, in the eastern half of Hachijo by talking to a man who stands on a roof in the swamp area. The objectives will all be marked, you must sit in a hot spring with him and then protect him while he walks home.
Step 2: Farm 30 Dung Balls. You can farm Dung Balls from the flying wasp enemies. A good farming spot is in Warring States - Tokaido - Shrine: Cape Cavern (the region in the south-east of Warring States, southernmost shrine). From the shrine turn around and you'll find 2 wasps on the left and 2 wasps on the right. On average every 30 Wasp Kills they will drop a Dung Ball. It will appear as an item pickup on the right side of the screen in white text. After you kill them, fast travel to the shrine to make them respawn, rinse and repeat. It's a boring process but they die in one hit (throwing Shuriken or Kunai in Ninja style works great). Other enemies can drop Dung Balls too but this spot is pretty reliable and quick. Roughly every 8 runs you should get a Dung Ball, sometimes it takes more and sometimes less.
Step 3: After the Putrid Paradise Myth, the Dung Lover will spawn in the Eternal Rift (press L3/Left Stick on world map to go there). Climb down the ladder behind the Blacksmith to reach him in the underground cave. He will be marked on the map. Give him 30 Dung Balls to get the trophy. You can also give him Noble Dung which counts as 2 regular Dung Balls each.
