Back in the day, Nintendo did some pretty shady business towards retailers in the U.S. Nintendo got busted for price fixing on the 8-bit NES at $99.99 back in the late 80s / early 90s. State officials caught on to the practices and threatened them to agree with the $99.95 price tag, pay a fine of $5 million in damages and remiburse customers with a $5 coupon on any Nintendo product.
