Nintendo tried pushing $80 Switch 2 games, and gamers made it very clear they weren’t happy about it. After the backlash to Mario Kart World’s price, Nintendo suddenly seems a lot more careful about how much it charges for future Switch 2 games.
Gamers are already paying more for consoles, subscriptions, accessories, and just about everything else. At some point, people were going to push back on $80 games too.
