"In the grips of a vicious crime syndicate, this once peaceful city has become a centre of violence and mayhem. Amidst this chaos, three young police officers are determined to tackle the problem head-on. Taking control of one of three ex-officers, use their special hand-to-hand combat abilities to take down the syndicate and save the city.
In addition to its all-new 3D presentation, 3D Streets of Rage also features local multiplayer and a Single Hit KO mode to help you power through the city's crime."
The standalone Nintendo eShop release of the game is being played here. The game is also part of the Sega 3D Reprint Archives (セガ3D復刻アーカイブス, Sega 3D Fukkoku Ākaibusu) collection for the Japanese region. A minor bug in the emulation is a loss of sounds in the M2 wrapper at the start of the video as you move through the menu. The game it self is fine.
The game is a side scrolling beat em up which has you fighting numerous gang members that stand between you and Mr X. You only get one special attack per life unless you happen to find an extra one hidden in the level. Food for extra energy can also be found.
The 3DS game has an additional mode 'Fists of Death' which I show in a second playthrough which allows you to defeat your enemy in one hit. Cheesy way to play the game but it does allow the casual player to clear the game especially if you are just here for the experience of playing a mega drive classic in 3d. I also take the opportunity to show the Japanese region version known as Bare Knuckle whilst enabling the classic screen filter and Mega Drive 2 audio. Notable differences with this version is the title screen, intro dialogue and Mr X dialogue when he asks you to join his ranks.

After defeating the Arch Lich Deimos, the heroes continued on their journey through the Broken Lands of Glantri after realizing that Deimos was only part of an even greater evil plan, and he was in fact being used by a mysterious sorceress named Synn, who appears to be a young woman but commands a powerful magical abilities, has been scheming to control the Kingdom of Glantri and conquer the humanoids of the Republic of Darokin. Mad Dog McCree from American Laser Games. Conversion to the 3DS by Engine Software BV and published by Digital Leisure in 2012.

One of the earliest Full Motion Video games in the arcade was ported to many home systems over the years. While the Arcade was a reasonably fun game which you played until your money ran out, it doesnt have a good rep as a home game as it loses its charm pretty quickly without any replay ability once you have completed it. For the 3ds, depending on the set difficulty, the game can be completed in 15 mins or so and unless you really want to go for high scores you wont likely want to play it again. Even if you are bad at the game there seems to be infinite continues available until you pass a stage with no negative effect on the score so you could probably farm it dying over and over.
The game is played with the touch screen to place the target and L and R used to reload and fire. You can also reload with extended ammo by shooting the skulls that appear on many screens. For the longplay I start off with a full playthrough on Hard difficulty. All the difficulty option does is limit how much time you have to aim and fire. I then show a second playthrough while playing badly showing a number of alternate scenes and death scenes whilst using a number of continues. When using a continue you get into a showdown duel to re-claim your lives.
I didnt bother keeping the second screen as its just a static image the whole time.

Played in 1 joystick mode which makes the game incredibly difficult and annoying. From what I read getting to the pleasure dome at the end is impossible on the Amiga version. But if it is possible let me know.
