Ninja Gaiden (1989 NES Tecmo)
This game is very difficult, but grabbing the spin slash and hanging on to it makes it a lot easier. The move activates if you do a jump attack, but you can do your regular sword slash by holding DOWN before pressing the attack button. Also, if you mash down+attack you can attack more than once in the air.
