Elegant Hydro Character just fits the piano so well! When I watched the character demo, it somehow reminded me of Kokomi as well which was one of my favourite theme and also that piano arrangement was one of my favourite as well. Here comes Nilou, I actually spent two nights to arrange it and only got to record on Saturday morning.
Even tho the two themes are exactly same as Dance of Sabzeruz, it's a completely different instrumentation and style. It's not Bossa Nova and rhymic. The hardest part to arrange is probably the climax part of both theme A and theme B. It's hard to not use too many distracting notes but the same time keep the flowing sense for the music for the theme A. For theme B, the melody and accompaniment kinda feels in two different quadruple time. (I didn't really do that in the sheet) The left hand is more like 12/8 while the right hand is 4/4. It's bit tricky to write down and play it. But once I understand how it sounds, it's more comfortable.
The thing worried me the most before I arrange it was the death-triplet in most Sumeru music. Compare with Dance of Sabzeruz, the tempo is quicker and I definitely won't be able to use the Octaves in this one (It's already kinda struggling in dance of sabzeruz). I thought it will make the melody thinner. But at the end, I found it alright. I think it's more important to fuller the whole texture instead of just octave melody sometimes.
