To test the new Nikon ZR we took it to Gather Glass in London as we wanted to see how it dealt with low light, dynamic range (massive difference between white hot and the black furnaces) and the heat - the ambient temperature was over 45 Degrees C (113+ for those who use F numbers!). When we got close to the furnaces, that went up to over 1,200 Degrees C (over 2,100 F). In addition to the B-roll we were also shooting long interview takes for another video - at no point did we have to stop for camera overheating or even a hot card warning.
