Some free-form experimentation to determine what facial features the Nikon Z6/Z7's Eye AF feature is using to detect eyes and faces. In this video I experiment with focus, various combinations of blocked facial features, and morphing/dissolving between human and dog faces.

0:00 - Focus/Defocus Detection
0:55 - Blocked Facial Features Detection
7:30 - Human/Dog Morph Detection

• Red outline means no face or eyes or detected
• Large yellow outline means a face is detected but not eyes
• Small yellow outlines means an eye is detected
• Alternating between a small and large yellow box means the camera is intermittently detecting eyes vs face
